Support for Omniscient

Use this page for common support questions, account deletion guidance, and app-permission issues.

Invite help

If someone shared an invite link with you, open it on the device where you want to connect. If the app is installed, the invite flow should continue there.

Location permissions

Omniscient relies on location permission to share your live status with approved connections. You can change permission settings at any time in your device settings.

Motion and health permissions

Motion access powers activity labels such as walking or driving. Health permissions are optional and only needed if you want to share steps or heart rate.

Account deletion

You can delete your account from inside the app. Visit the account deletion page on this site for the exact flow and what gets removed.

Common Questions

What’s Omniscient for?

Omniscient is for the moment after you’ve called someone you love and they haven’t answered yet. Most location-sharing apps show you a dot on a map. Omniscient shows you whether that dot has moved in the last few seconds, what they’re doing, and how their heart rate looks — so the worry usually answers itself. If their phone moved 30 seconds ago and their Apple Watch heart rate is normal, they’re probably just busy and will call you back.

Is Omniscient a safety or medical product?

No. Omniscient is a peace-of-mind app that shows you signals from the people you’ve connected with — when their phone last moved, their general activity, and optionally heart rate and step count from Apple Watch. It is not a safety, medical, or emergency service, and the signals are not guaranteed to be accurate or up to date (dead batteries, no signal, Do Not Disturb, and many other things can affect them). Don’t use Omniscient as your only way to check whether someone is OK. If you’re worried about someone, contact them directly, or in an emergency, call 911. See our Privacy & Disclaimers for the full disclaimer.

Why does Omniscient need background location?

When live sharing is enabled, background location helps keep your connections updated even when the app is not open on screen.

Can I stop sharing without deleting my account?

Yes. You can change your sharing mode inside the app or revoke location permissions through your device settings.

How do I remove my data?

Use the Delete Account option inside the app. That flow is intended to permanently remove your Omniscient account, connections, saved places, and associated app data.
